A Legacy of Scholarly Excellence

Founded in 1918 by the visionary founders of the Bhandarkar Oriental Research Institute (BORI), the All India Oriental Conference was established to foster a pan-Indian dialogue among scholars engaged in the study of India's languages, literature, philosophy, history, culture, and knowledge traditions. Over more than a century, the AIOC has served as a premier national forum for the exchange of ideas, the dissemination of research, and the preservation of India's intellectual heritage.

Through its long and illustrious journey, the Conference has convened scholars from diverse disciplines and institutions, creating a vibrant academic tradition that has significantly contributed to the development of Indological and Oriental studies. The published volumes of the AIOC Proceedings stand as a valuable record of more than a century of scholarly inquiry and intellectual achievement.

The 52nd Session seeks to build upon this remarkable legacy by fostering innovative research, encouraging interdisciplinary engagement, and strengthening scholarly networks dedicated to the study and revitalization of India's timeless knowledge traditions. We warmly invite scholars, researchers, teachers, and students to participate in this landmark event and contribute to the continuing journey of academic excellence that has defined the All India Oriental Conference for over a hundred years.
