The All India Oriental Conference (AIOC) was founded in 1918 by the visionary founders of the Bhandarkar Oriental Research Institute (BORI) to create a pan-Indian dialogue for Indological scholars.
As a monumental biennial event, the AIOC has successfully completed 43 landmark sessions over its illustrious history. These sessions have been hosted across all corners of India, gathering in cities most renowned as centers for Sanskrit studies and classical Oriental research. Documenting a century of academic breakthroughs, 39 extensive volumes of the official AIOC Proceedings have been meticulously published and archived over the years.
The AIOC goes far beyond merely praising traditional Indian knowledge. It functions as a rigorous, practical academic forum that examines the contemporary relevance of ancient wisdom, inviting global scholars to contribute new interpretations and forward-thinking ideas.
The conference provides an unparalleled platform for budding students and young researchers to present their insights directly to academic stalwarts. It offers a rare opportunity to seek guidance from legendary traditional Pandits and modern researchers alike.
A deeply cherished part of the AIOC, the Pandit Parisat features deep scholarly debates among master Pandits trained in traditional lineages. Conducted entirely in scientific Sanskrit, it is a highly anticipated dialogue on ancient concepts and modern interpretations.
To participate in the scholarly discourse and join this historical community of Indological researchers, the AIOC offers two distinct pathways for registration and membership:
Tailored for delegates, students, and scholars intending to participate specifically in the upcoming session. Registration windows open alongside the official release of individual session bulletins.
Designed for dedicated researchers wanting lifelong access to the AIOC scientific circle. Fee revisions and structured announcements are published directly within the active session circulars.
